The Office of Enrollment Management Communications at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Coordinator Social & Digital Media position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.

The Division

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 170 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to our Vision, Mission and Values. The Position:

Hybrid/remote work schedule with in-person component.

Develop and maintain Division of Enrollment Management (EM) websites and social media accounts. Create a strategic plan for digital advertising, websites, and social media accounts. Work with the creative team on marketing efforts, content planning, calendar development, tracking, and analysis of digital ads. Organize the work of multiple contributors, managing a schedule shared among colleagues and partners for posting dynamic content in support of campaigns, events, milestones, and other opportunities that build, engage, and inform audiences. Develop, create, and post content for sharing on social media. Develop, implement, and maintain processes, guidelines, and schedules to ensure content remains up-to-date and is continually refreshed. Envision, create, and implement digital initiatives and innovative content dissemination approaches that grow social audiences and deepen audience engagement. Continuously perform assessments and analysis of projects to determine if changes are needed to meet the desired outcome and timeline.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree- Communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field.

• 2 years of professional experience related to duties and responsibilities.

• Background in communications or related creative experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Advanced experience using social media and/or digital platforms.

• Experience working with multiple priorities, fast moving projects, and tight deadlines.

• Understanding of social and digital media best practices.

• Experience with Slate or other CRM systems, Asana project management system.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge and experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc.

• Must have excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and creative skills

• Possess strong self-discipline and motivation

• Knowledge and understanding of MAC operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Knowledge of social media best practices

• Must exhibit exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to learn, be flexible to change, and be innovative

• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels with a variety of backgrounds.

• Strong organizational skills are essential

• Ability to lead and manage projects

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work responsibilities in time-sensitive situations

• Ability to exercise good judgment and handle diverse and difficult situations with confidence, motivation, and flexibility

• Possess and demonstrate a personal commitment to excellence and efficiency, and a passion to serve future and current Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, Lightroom)

• Sound knowledge of and experience with Slate CRM system and Asana project management system.

• Knowledge of university style and communications standards.

• Understanding of higher education priorities, processes, and workflow

• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS

• Advanced knowledge of digital analytic platform

• Knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, techniques, and applications relevant to the field of promotion and advertising in higher education

• Experience managing campaign budgets through digital advertising platforms

• Experience that demonstrates a proven track record of delivering exceptional audience experiences that deepen engagement and drive outcomes

• Knowledge of web design procedures, best practices, and the WordPress CMS

• Knowledge of search SEO and SEM best practices

• Experience with project management, social media management, and data reporting systems
