The Manager, Collaborative Learning will manage and lead a team supporting innovative uses of new and emerging technologies to engage learners. Duties include close collaboration with ASU faculty, research and recommendation of future-thinking learning space design and technologies, development of training materials and events to promote active learning and the implementation of digital learning technologies that blend physical and virtual spaces. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal and presentation skills, advanced project coordination capabilities, successful experience in a team environment, appreciation for working with diverse audiences, experience working in or with media (graphics, video, or games) development process, and an understanding of instructional challenges surrounding the use of technology to support learning.

$56,550 - $87,000 per year; DOE
Research and evaluate emerging physical and digital platform technologies, pedagogies, and practices and provide ongoing ideas, guidance, and recommendations to the University community.
Participate in strategic planning and formulation of the department's learning experience development plans and policies.
Lead cross-functional matrixed teams in order to coordinate major initiatives.
Develop professional learning materials and events to promote collaborative and active learning including the use of digital learning tools in physical spaces.
Using instructional design theory and strategies, recommend effective and creative uses of ASUís learning experience platforms, including the ASU digital backpack, to improve student outcomes in traditional, hybrid and digital learning environments.
Develop and deliver face-to-face and online faculty training and workshop offerings, including self-help documents, online tutorials, and other multimedia materials, to assist faculty with the use of learning experience platforms modeling collaborative and active learning best practices.
Utilize web page authoring, desktop publishing and presentation software to develop custom content.
Facilitate conversational sessions with faculty around platform tools, pedagogy approaches, and roadmap strategies.
Design, develop and implement evaluation procedures to assess the effectiveness of using technologies in teaching/learning experiences to bridge physical and digital learning spaces.
Create project implementation or revision plans that take resource availability, timelines, and competing priorities into account.
Direct staff recruitment, and leads development and evaluation; supervises, trains and evaluates assigned staff.
Take responsibility for fostering culture, advancing our values, and championing engagement in all its forms -- collaborating across our teams as well as participating in UTO/ASU events and programs.

Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field AND five years of related experience two (2) of which include higher education online course development and design associated with learning programs and also includes three years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Ability to work in-person, on-campus
Experience teaching in the classroom
Advanced project management and coordination capabilities
Advanced people and time management skills
Knowledge of collaborative learning technologies such as iClicker, Google Workspaces, Zoom, etc.
Knowledge of current and future trends in learning technologies
Comprehensive understanding of instructional design principles, methods, and techniques for adult learning
Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to diverse stakeholder groups: faculty, students, staff, and administrators
Ability to accomplish tasks and projects with multiple and overlapping deadlines
Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Managing strategic design processes in education or business environments

Principles, methods, and techniques of project management
Creative design, usability and user interface design
Online course evaluation and Quality Matters best practices and processes

Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing.
