The Global Commercial Services Digital Experience and Platforms (DEP) team is focused on designing and scaling innovative digital products to delight corporate clients globally.
Our group is responsible for delivering intuitive and consistent digital solutions for Program Managers across all commercial segments through @ Work, a best-in-class global digital platform. In 2022, we began a transformation journey that touches every aspect of our current experience, making it an exciting time to join a growing team with a transformational digital roadmap for our Corporate Card clients within @ Work.
We are looking for a candidate who can design and deliver valuable Insights and Reporting features for our clients, by working with engineering, UX, and Research, field, servicing, and Marketing to get products to market and launch ongoing enhancements in an agile environment. This role will be responsible for leading a team of top-notch engineers using modern technologies and lean agile methodology. Additionally, the role will focus on the development of robust 3YP roadmap for product vision and customer experience.
Ownership and accountability of the product’s vision, requirements, and performance
Champion the product’s roadmap with key stakeholders and engineering teams.
Identify opportunities and provide input on features, including external benchmarking and keeping a pulse on digital trends and customer preferences
Support effective management of product backlog of features and capabilities that are groomed and prioritized in close collaboration with the business and development teams. Facilitate resolution of risks, issues, and changes.
Full participation in and support of agile practices and ceremonies to reinforce agile development and incremental delivery
Deep engagement and consultation with various business teams to understand current and future needs for product enhancements
Own and oversee the resolution of production issues
Coordinate with project teams and across the wider Web Experience & Products team and other dependent teams to ensure timelines and requirements are aligned
Establish the product’s goals and reviewing success metrics to achieve commercial success, create ROI analyses and optimization recommendations and develop appropriate tracking and reporting to measure performance post – launch to support evaluation of future investments
Ability to effectively lead projects independently from end-to-end including but not limited to building consensus while also identifying risks and removing roadblocks
Partner with teams across the Enterprise globally to leverage American Express capabilities and accelerate delivery
Passion for creating best-in-class products and customer experiences that are user-centric
Technical fluency - an ability to clearly describe tradeoffs with users and engineers about certain decisions & good balance with business acumen with a proven track record of driving digital innovation and business metrics with a customer-first mindset
Highly organized - you are great at research and documenting your learnings
Loves dealing with fast pace, changing needs, and limited resources
A “driver” personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration
Proven experience with agile (scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and software development methodologies
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or a technical field
5+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Product Development
