Brand Manager, Global Strategic Marketing New Segments (Johnson & Johnson Vision)

The Manager, Global Strategic Marketing will lead end-to-end product innovation and go to market strategies for a specific platform portfolio. This position identifies and supports global new product launches, drives portfolio lifecycle management and ensures execution of guidelines, claims and marketing assets for the portfolio in partnership with regional, global, and cross-functional business partners.  This role will own the global development of critical projects and deliver a suite of business, marketing and commercial solutions to meet the needs of consumers and professionals along their journey with a clear value proposition that differentiates the portfolio from the competition. This role partners closely with regional and local teams, supply chain, R&D, finance, professional affairs, other relevant functions, as well as agencies to enrich and strengthen the portfolio with products and programs that build a strong business presence within diverse channel customers.



  • Contribute to the development of the global launch strategy and prepare for commercial readiness including targeting, product positioning, and strategic pricing in collaboration with regions.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to deliver new product requirements for launch readiness throughout every stage of the global new product process.
  • Identify marketplace relevant insights and implications in collaboration with Global Strategic Insights.
  • Identify new areas of innovation and develop new ideas that drive growth for the portfolio including product, experience, business model, and commercial solutions. 
  • Support the delivery of claims and evidence-based messaging through strong collaboration with Global Strategic Insights, Global Professional Affairs, Medical Affairs, Clinical and R&D teams for both consumer-facing and professional-facing audiences.
  • Partner with regions to build brand/portfolio messaging, integrated communications plans, key assets, and global toolkits.
  • Develop global demand forecasts, build assumptions to influence regional demand forecasts and global business cases, and participate in the supply planning process to ensure global forecast management and prioritization, as needed.
  • Support health of business analysis and reporting, results tracking, lessons learned and continuous improvement assessments.
  • Develop proactive and reactive competitive responses and action plans through to asset delivery.
  • Assist with the development of global business plans and strategic plans.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive marketing experience or equivalent is required. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Pharmaceuticals, and/or Medical Device experience is required.
  • Prior experience working with healthcare professionals is preferred.
  • Global marketing or local/regional brand management experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of marketing leadership including integrated communications planning, advertising, new product launches, and/or business plan development is preferred.
  • Prior experience managing agencies is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying, synthesizing data and translating insights into strategic recommendations is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, generate consensus, and build relationships across internal and external partners is required.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills is required. 
  • Highly motivated, self-confident and effective at operating in an independent environment is required.
  • Prior experience working with Legal and Regulatory partners is required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time is required.
