The ERP Operations Manager in the ASU University Technology Office will lead a small team of dedicated subject matter experts on a large, complex Student Information System and manage our partnered service provider; collaborate and communicate with stakeholders and cross-functional product teams to solve problems and achieve objectives; distill and communicate customer and stakeholder needs, set priority, and measure impact; and define, communicate, and manage our ERP operating strategy and roadmap.

Salary Range

$73,100 - $151,700 per year; DOE

Essential Duties

Take responsibility for fostering culture, advancing our values, and championing engagement in all its forms -- collaborating across our teams as well as participating in UTO/ASU events and programs
Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Advances our UTO Affirmative Pledge
Build, mentor, and coach the ERP Operations team including various skill and experience levels in both ERP and ETL roles
Set high expectations for team members, provide constructive quarterly feedback to team members, and support teams as needed to meet expectations
Plan and manage to budget, directly manage ERP hosting and licensing costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality and institutional growth
Develop meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPI), implement, and maintain key metrics, measurements, and related reporting capabilities in support of quarterly and annual planning
Create and deliver service portfolio quarterly reviews reporting progress aligning with strategic priorities, departmental goals, service & activity levels, and team development
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with academic units and business offices across the university, managing update & patch cycles and coordinating service availability in support of academic & business cycles
Manage ERP operations directly and hands-on-keyboard, coordinating with service providers and stakeholders for MOB planning, configuration management, application changes and performance monitoring
Manage ERP supplier contracts & relationships (e.g. Oracle, SierraCedar)
Develop, implement, test, and update ERP backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations plans
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the executive leadership, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end-users
Work outside regular business hours as need to support scheduled maintenance and unplanned outages including occasional evenings, holidays, and weekends
Perform other duties as assigned by UTO leadership

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field AND five years of related experience, which includes three years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts and practices
Experience as client manager for hosting services
Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of ERP solutions
Experience managing contracted and/or consultant resources
Demonstrated professional experience in higher education
Experience with SIS implementations, including planning, migration, and support
Experience managing, supporting, an delivering PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or comparable Student Information System(s)
Experience with operational management of ERP systems
Experience with PeopleSoft infrastructure and application upgrades
Experience with PeopleTools, Phire, and Application Designer
Experience with Oracle database enterprise edition
Experience with Control-M (or similar data workflow orchestration tools)
Experience with AWS services such as:
RDS
AppStream
WorkSpaces
Transfer family
Experience integrating enterprise systems such as LMS, CRM, SIS, ERP
Ability to model empathy, compassion and emotional intelligence
