Job Description
Korn Ferry Tour Rotational Program Participant
The Korn Ferry Tour Rotational Program is a year-long comprehensive program designed to cultivate and develop graduating seniors [from Historically Black Colleges & Universities] skills to the sports industry, specifically to all business units of the Korn Ferry Tour. This position will serve as support and an extension of each department within the Korn Ferry Tour where tasks and responsibilities will vary based on the need of each department. Upon completion, the candidate will be considered for full-time employment within the Korn Ferry Tour beginning the following year.
Qualifications & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

HBCU Graduate within one year of graduation

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sports Administration, or related field

Experience in the design and/or creation of sponsorship/executive presentations

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Strong writing, proofreading skills and communication skills

Attention to detail and client service skills required

Experience in Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Premiere Pro preferred

Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Candidate will learn tournament and Korn Ferry Tour business through the following areas:

Tournament Operations

Assist in the training and coordination of volunteers

Involved in the on-site facility set up and maintenance at tournaments

Competitions

Assist with the administrative and operational side of conducting a professional golf tournament competition.

Tournament Business and Sponsor Relations

Work with department directors to assist with tournament relationships and support of tournament participation in the PGA TOUR Sales Support Program.

Assist Korn Ferry Tour leadership on tournament and sponsor benchmarking, Korn Ferry Tour financial tracking, new market development and other various department initiatives.

Participate in and track progress on all tournament business calls including advance calls, monthly sales calls, messaging calls, and other tournament updates, document opportunities for future consideration and assist with necessary material for follow-up communication.

Communicate daily with tournaments while tracking and recording successful strategies between tournaments for use across other markets.

Communications and Digital Content

Craft press releases and notes for media

Develop Korn Ferry Tour Catalyst bios

Identify and brainstorm storytelling opportunities around players, tournaments, IMPACT stories and the Korn Ferry Tour

Transcribe Korn Ferry Tour interviews

Share Korn Ferry Tour-focused articles and stories for TOUR-wide daily clippings

Represent the communications team as an on-site media official, coordinating post-round interviews and working directly with the local media at Korn Ferry Tour tournaments

Assist the Senior Director, Communications in other areas, as needed

Business Development/Sales

Assist in the oversight the tracking of sales efforts at each tournament and provide monthly updates to PGA TOUR management, allowing for proactive management of the revenue aspect of the business

Collaborate with the PGA TOUR Sales Support team to identify and implement all relevant best practices from the other tours

Transcribe meeting notes on sales calls

Take part in developing a strategic sales business plan for each tournament outlining goals and objectives, sales staff evaluation, products, renewal plans, prospecting, reporting, implementation of a CRM, etc. to ensure financial stability

Player Relations

Recruitment of players for Tournament/Sponsor events

Manage relationships with players/agents

Send out weekly Player Report

Work with the Rules Staff to complete the Player Advance Sheet by Thursday of advance sheet each week

Look after/monitor PGA TOUR Player Links Pages

Work on selection of the PAC

Work with the PAC throughout the year to cover topics

Schedule and plan PAC/Player meetings throughout the year

Assist players in every capacity

Top-25 and Finals Ceremonies

New Member Orientation

International travel shuttles

Marketing & other various experiences throughout the PGA TOUR

Special projects or other duties as assigned.
