Associate Scientist I/ II- Transformational and Translational Immunology Discovery
The Translational and Transformational Immunology Discovery Department at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA is committed to elucidating the underlying disease mechanisms and identifying new therapies that address the unmet need for patients. We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented bench scientist to join our group to assist in developing and conducting assays that will help drive our pipeline. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and results oriented, with excellent communication skills and strong cell biology and functional expertise in mammalian cell culture, as well as general lab techniques.
The successful candidate will work both within the Translational and Transformational Immunology Discovery Department and as a member of cross-departmental interdisciplinary teams. They will be expected to perform and analyze assays independently with attention to detail to generate high quality and reproducible data.
Desired Skills include one or more of the following: cell/tissue culture proficiency, ELISA, flow cytometry, cell-based assays, qPCR. Experience with culturing fibroblasts, osteoclast/blasts or assays related to cell migration, invasion or bone and cartilage are a plus.
