We are actively sourcing for a Manager of Connectivity Services to join our Professional Services organization.

The Manager of Connectivity Services oversees the strategic and day to day activities of the Connectivity Services Architects, Connectivity Services Project Management and Network Analysts (NAT Team) at Five9. The group's objective is to actively participate in the presales processes, interfacing directly with Five9 Prospects to conduct a thorough discovery process, gathering requirements which facilitate the engineering of voice and data interconnections and execute the connectivity services ordered through the Project Management team for new and existing customers.. These connections enable customers or their partners to use the Five9 Contact Center as a Service platform. The manager of this group should oversee processes, streamlining, building strategic relationships both internally and externally, recruiting, training, coaching and participating in support issues.​

This Is What You'll Get To Do:

Provide strategic vision and day to day oversight for Five9’s Connectivity Services team; this team primarily provides direct support to Sales team members for design of voice and data interconnections between the networks of customers, their preferred partners, and Five9
Build and carry out training for team members; facilitate venues where they can achieve mastery-level knowledge of topics relevant to their roles, especially as it pertains to Five9’s products and services; training should include formal sessions where material is presented, collateral is supplied, and 'lab' environments created wherein knowledge gained can be certified
Participate in company-wide training programs for other groups within the company requesting defined training sessions pertaining to areas of telephony expertise
Contribute to white papers drafted for internal or customer review, pertaining to areas of expertise
Speak/represent at company events, such as the annual Five9’s Users Conference, or during onsite visits with prospects and customers
Serve as a technical expert and point of escalation for immediate team members or the customers they serve
Organize resources within the group to ensure that Connectivity Services team is doing everything within their power to further Five9’s achievement of targeted growth rates
Maintain and supply data to upper management to illustrate regular, overall performance of the group
Frequently evaluate processes that impact the Cloud Connectivity Design group and the customers they serve; collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline and improve engagement
Be a liaison between Five9's Telco Product managers and the Sales team to communicate new requirements, as may be communicated by Prospects and customers
Actively participate in pre-sales process to uncover customers’ voice and data connectivity needs.
Drive the discovery and integration process which allows customers to access Five9’s software platform.
Engage with existing customers to create connectivity optimization engagements and/or perform upgrades.
Approximately 50% travel may be required, maybe more during certain times of the year;
Administer regular coaching, mentoring and feedback to team members; maintain detailed documentation of such engagements where appropriate

Successful Candidates Will Have The Following:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience​ required.
6+ years in telecommunications circuit design, engineering or analysis
2-3 years of experience leading, mentoring or managing individual contributors
1+ year(s) of demonstrated success as a solutions/sales engineer in a related role
Demonstrated ability to quickly conduct discovery sessions, draw conclusion and present solutions enthusiastically, concisely and accurately
Working knowledge of telephony and network environments
In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting voice/data networks
MPLS, QoS or CoS experience; Class IV/V Switching experience; SRTP/TLS
Familiarity with RFP/RFI process
BGP, public/private routing space
Understanding of carrier to carrier transport.
Cisco Certs (Professional Level or Better)
Adept at all things telecom: Architecture design, solid networking understanding:
OSI Model, Ethernet, IP, IPSec
VoIP, SIP, SBC, IP4 and IPv6 addressing
Experienced in handling highly sensitive data and information
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with a proven ability to communicate with others, from entry to executive-levels
Valid driver's license and passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally

Bonus Experience:

Experience meeting tight deadlines, working under pressure in a fast-paced, 'startup-like' culture
Working with peers and/or managing employees in virtual, globally based, environments
First-hand experience designing network interconnections with carriers, at data centers, central offices, etc.
Experience building documents in Adobe Pro, Visio, Word, spreadsheets in Excel etc.
