Salary Range: $75,168 - $88,433 Annually
Position Status: This is a contract position with a potential for up to two years and is benefits eligible.

NRPA is currently seeking a Senior Corporate Development Officer to join our Development team which is a part of our Programs and Partnerships Department.
The Senior Corporate Development Officer works to advance NRPAs mission and vision by cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate partnerships that result in sustained and growing financial support through conference exhibits, advertising, and conference and project sponsorship support.
The Senior Corporate Development Officer collaborates with the Programs and Partnerships Development, Membership, Conferences, and Marketing and Communications teams to achieve complete partner satisfaction and financial success.
Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate with setting and achieving annual revenue goals and building a pipeline for advertising and sponsorship revenues. Track monthly revenue goals and implement appropriate cultivation and stewardship plans to meet revenue goals.
Secure advertisements in NRPAs print publications, Parks & Recreation magazine, ancillary products such as website and newsletter banners, eblasts, etc. and respond to incoming inquiries; and sponsorships for NRPA offerings (e.g., research, Parks Build, webinars).
Steward existing relationships with advertisers and sponsors through superior service, account maintenance as needed, and customized outreach and communications.
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure fulfillment of advertising and sponsorship deliverables and obligations.
Review ads in issue lists and full PDFs for accuracy.
Collaborate with the process to identify, research, and qualify prospective partners through cold calling, written communications and/or responding to inquiries.
Create presentation decks to help pitch prospective sponsors or advertisers.
Be knowledgeable of NRPAs and industry statistics, publication's demographics, or changes that might influence the industry.
Work with the Development Coordinator on the processing of advertisement contracts, invoices, and provision of updates and continuous information and deadlines.
Collaborate with Marketing on marketing to prospective exhibitors and sponsors, materials for on-site publications, ad changes and discrepancies production/ editorial staff.
Work with the Development Coordinator on art collection and other needs.
Enter relevant partner data, information, and communications in appropriate databases (Salesforce, A2Z, iMIS, etc.) and electronic files.
Bachelors Degree in related field or association industry experience.
5 - 7 years of experience in advertising and association sales and/or corporate development fundraising.
Strong alignment with NRPA values.
Proven ability to achieve financial targets/goals.
Superior communication skills, requiring tact, persuasion skills, credibility and the ability to sell ideas to achieve results, both internally and externally.
Ability to be resilient to rejection.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with little or no direction.
Strong team-building skills and a commitment to collaboration.
Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively in approach and problem solving.

Experience with Microsoft Office programs and customer relationship management databases and systems.

Ability to travel 5 15 days per year once travel and safety restrictions are lifted.
