Job Description
Project Associate
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Contract Project Associate position for community development impact investment program.
Ideal for an independent consultant who enjoys doing project work and has capacity April through mid-December 2021.
Right-fit candidates will have strong research, information management, writing and collaboration skills.
Our model offers the potential for successful Project Associates to enjoy a recurring annual engagement with increasing levels of responsibility and compensation.

BACKGROUND:
High Gain Solutions Group offers a range of high stakes persuasive communication services, including a specialized capability in the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) industry, which we bring to market in partnership with leading impact investment firm Advantage Capital.
Together, High Gain and Advantage work with selected community development entities (CDEs), such as major municipalities, nonprofits, mission-driven investors and economic development corporations, that seek to win NMTC allocation authority.
For winning CDEs, allocation authority serves as a powerful tool for bringing affordable growth capital to low income communities in their regions.
The NMTC Program is run through the Treasury Department's Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund, which conducts a highly competitive annual application process for allocation authority.
The Project Associate works in support of High Gain’s team of Operations and Project Leads to develop and submit a set of NMTC applications within CDFI Fund parameters, in alignment with the High Gain/Advantage NMTC application development model.
High Gain anticipates developing six applications in the 2021 application cycle.

Qualifications & Requirements
Familiarity and experience with the New Markets Tax Credit program is NOT required for candidates applying for the Associate role.
High Gain provides training on the NMTC program and on-the-job mentoring throughout the application cycle.

The native skills that ARE required for an Associate to be successful include:
Computer literacy and familiarity with current business software and applications;
Online research skills;
Information distillation competence;
Time and project management skills;
General business acumen / polish / poise.
