Career Paths to Consider if You Love Working With People

Career Paths to Consider if You Love Working With People
Posted By: Dixie Somers on November 03, 2020

If you're a people person, you'll naturally excel in a career that allows you to work with people. In fact, you'll not only have the opportunity to socialize, but you're likely to find meaning and purpose too. Consider taking one of these career paths if you love working with people.

Teacher

Teachers spend plenty of time in front of a classroom teaching students, helping them one on one and grading papers. Those who love children might enjoy teaching in an ****. This requires you to be sensitive, caring and practical, among other things. Another benefit can be spending time doing creative activities with kids such as coloring, painting, crafts and more. Letting your inner child out each day can be therapeutic. Besides this, many teachers find meaning and a sense of purpose in their jobs. The only problem may be receiving a low paycheck, but money isn't everything.

Counsellor

Counsellors get paid to help those with mental health issues, marriage problems and more. Solving peoples' problems on a daily basis can have a big impact on their lives. For instance, if you have anxiety every day, a counsellor can be helpful in giving you peace of mind.

The average annual salary of substance **** counsellors is around $49,950, while school and career counsellors earn $61,000.

Social Worker

One of the biggest requirements of being a social worker is being genuinely concerned for the welfare of others. On the bright side, social workers often show how much they care by saving abused and neglected children from horrible situations. They may also be involved in the healthcare field and help people apply for social services. According to Payscale, social workers get paid up to 69,000 per year.

Journalist

The daily life of a journalist is often filled with excitement and interactions with people. Before writing a news story, journalists may conduct interviews. Additionally, they research, edit, proofread and write articles about entertainment, social issues, politics, sports and other topics. They earn an average yearly salary of $40,802. The best public affair firms can offer services such as political persuasion expertise, community engagement and strategic communications.

Choosing a career path that's right for you can be beneficial to your professional and personal life. You have the opportunity to genuinely enjoy your work, and be more grateful when the day is done. No matter what, make sure to go for the career of your dreams, because everyone deserves to live a better life.
