Job Description

The SCOS Administrative Supervisor handle a variety of tasks.



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business / Finance / Accounting or equivalent related work experience.


  • Travel required.


  • Experience reading and interpreting transportation contracts


  • Experience with Payroll and Billing processes as well as experience in transportation operations


  • Advanced Level Skills in MS Word such as keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text.


  • Advanced Level Skills in MS Excel such as working with formulas, data tables, pivot Charts, queries, custom functions, data management and analysis.


  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    - Five years experience in logistics, transportation, or industry related field is preferred.

    - Team building / leadership skills

    - Ability to make decisions with minimal or no supervision

    - Good customer service skills

    - Very detail oriented

    - Highly adaptive to using new applications

    - Independent problem solving, resourceful - strong in tracking down people / information

    - Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and must possess strong organization and management skills



    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising the accurate and timely production of customer billing and employee payroll

  • Reviewing Payroll and Billing source data from field ops to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Responsible for analyzing and understanding payroll and billing rates for SCS operations and setting up the operating system to appropriately utilize those rates for purposes of accurately calculating payroll and billing.

  • Responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of how the rating engines work within the new SCOS application.

  • Maintenance and updating of rates as needed within the operating system

  • Working with field ops team to resolve payroll and billing discrepancies

  • Provide guidance to Billing and Payroll personnel and to field operations to build an understanding of billing and payroll clauses as they are to be applied to individual contracts

  • Focal point for communications with legal, sales and pricing departments as well as operating teams regarding the understanding of customer contracts

  • Communicating with Corporate Payroll regarding payroll issues and discrepancies

  • Communicating with Corporate Accounting regarding billing issues and revenue recognition

  • Ensure SOX compliance around contract execution and documentation.

  • Focal point for questions related to interpretation and application of contract terms in the SCOS system

  • Support Trainers and Field Users in SCOS backoffice functions

  • Support for migration of existing RD2000 locations to SCOS.

  • Review RD2000 data prior to import into SCOS

  • Reconcile data between systems during parallel operations

  • Establishing and executing exception management processes

  • Assisting field ops with invoice and billing documentation to customers
