Chevron Global Downstream is accepting online applications for the position of Marketing Graduate Development Program Intern located in San Ramon, California through November 20, 2009
Overview:
The Global Marketing Graduate Development Program is interested in hosting individuals with a desire to explore opportunities within our Marketing organization. The internship is ten to twelve weeks in length, typically based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and consists of a challenging assignment designed to meet the unique interests and career aspirations of each intern. Throughout the summer, interns have exposure to executive leaders through various events and are full members of the Graduate Development Program team. In addition, each intern is assigned a mentor and partnered with a current Program member to help them establish themselves quickly and build the networks needed for a successful summer experience. During the internship period, the intern is set up for success with ongoing performance feedback and coaching
Examples of past assignments have included the following:
• Business Planning • Downstream Strategy • Pricing • New Business Development • Competitive Information • Franchising • Merchandising • Credit Card Marketing
During the 10- to 12-week internship, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their skills while learning about the Global Marketing business and experiencing Chevron’s unique and collaborative culture. Successful interns will be extended an offer to join the Graduate Development Program upon graduation from their MBA programRequired (Basic) Qualifications:
Program participants are action-oriented and results driven. In addition, we look for individuals with the required skills and background:
•Currently pursuing MBA degree (concentration in Marketing, Strategy, or General Management) •Strong leadership potential •Solid business and marketing acumen and interest •Sound analytical skills •Minimum 3 years work experience •Flexibility in learning and exploring a variety of business areas •Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting •Strong academic performance
