Chevron Corporation is accepting online applications through November 7, 2009 PMCU Internal QA/QC Support •Implement the elements of a Quality Manual and associated quality documentation. •Proactively identify potential improvements to the quality system and laboratory standard operating procedures •Conduct Quality System training for new personnel. •Conduct the laboratory's internal audit program. •Conduct and monitor the completion of QA/QC requirements for Laboratory Technicians •Implement the test validation plans for all procedures Global Laboratory QA/QC Support
Participates in audits of non-U.S. based Chevron laboratories and aids in implementing QA/QC process improvements ISO 17025 Certification Support
Implements the Quality Management System of the Petroleum Materials Characterization Unit to ensure conformance to ISO 17025, and its continuing suitability to the quality requirements of our Chevron customers. Participates in the reassessment and follow-up requirements for ISO 17025 accreditation. PMCU Laboratory Support
Provides support in the functioning of other laboratory programs including training, method development, LIMS, purchasing, and sample management
B.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Management or diploma in Chemical Technology (or related scientific field with chemistry experience) is required. Strong general scientific understanding of Petroleum and/or environmental testing, quality control principles and techniques is required. Candidate should have experience in a petroleum testing laboratory. Environmental laboratory QA/QC experience desired Candidate should have experience in applying QA/QC principles and implementing ISO 17025 requirements in a non-U.S. and remote setting. Spanish and Portuguese language abilities are desirable due to the global nature of this position
