In this role, you'll be responsible for making contact with customers, whose accounts are in delinquent status. Utilize techniques to; initiate resolution and payment on unpaid accounts, collect equipment and disconnect service. When possible resell cable service to customers. Work targeted shifts that are essential to increase customer contact for collection effort. Process paperwork for disconnects on customer accounts classified as non-collectible in order to be able to write off the account per company procedures. Record information on customer accounts. Provide excellent customer service. Punctual, regular and consistent attendance. Ability to work overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or recognized equivalent. At least one year of customer service experience is required and collections experience is preferred. Must have demonstrated courtesy and patience in customer relations. Must be able to work independently. Must have the ability to prioritize. Organizational skills a must. Personal computer knowledge necessary Need to be able to communicate with the public in a clear and concise manner. Effective negotiation skills in a fast paced environment are required. Must have scheduling flexibility within the time frames determined by department need.
