Job Description
Summary:
-Support the Benefits Finance function by performing various audit, financial reporting, compliance, and analytics. -Develop, document, and perform audit procedures and serve as primary liaison with external and internal financial auditors. -Act as primary liaison with corporate accounting departments (including Payroll) to receive and compile data and produce departmental financial reports. -Ensure expenses properly booked and reconcile benefit insurance premiums collected vs. due, and verify rates against those in payroll system as necessary in conjunction with corporate accounting department. -Maintain database of vendor performance guarantees and develop and maintain vendor scorecards. -Assist Benefits Controller with financial analysis and special projects as assigned. Develop and implement process improvements & other duties as warranted. -Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance is a must.
Qualifications / Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance. -Minimum of two to three years' financial analysis or accounting experience. - Strong financial & analytical skills and attention to detail. -Effective written and verbal communication skills. -Advanced Microsoft excel skills including creating spreadsheet models for financial calculations. -Experience using Microsoft Access preferred. -Experience/familiarity with employee benefits strongly preferred.
