The Video Producer will work collaboratively as a member of Berklee Online’s in-house video team to create professional video and media content. This position requires familiarity with all aspects of video production including: preproduction logistics and planning, directing on-camera talent, camera, lighting, and sound operation, in addition to video editing, distribution, and asset management. The Video Producer is responsible for taking video projects from conception to completion, initiating and effectively communication possible creative scenarios for video production and then seeing those concepts through to final project deliverables.
The Video Producer is responsible for preparing and editing video and multitrack audio content as follows: content and files will be organized and properly labeled following Berklee Online’s approved workflow, transcoded as necessary, imported into an NLE, and edited with multiple camera angle choices, titles, and effects. Final videos will be exported and prepared for a variety of distribution channels such as Berklee Online, YouTube, etc. This includes utilizing the proper Berklee brand elements and adhering to brand guidelines. The raw material and the final edited output will be transferred to a digital asset management system and cataloged with appropriate metadata for storage and archive.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Planning both studio and location shoots, including location and talent scouting and scheduling, creating equipment lists, and overseeing equipment packing.
•Field production, including operating or overseeing audio, camera, lighting equipment, and working collaboratively with talent and members of the Berklee Online team.
•Asset management, including data collection from camera media, adhering to Berklee Online’s file organization and naming standards, encoding video and audio files, uploading video files to various platforms for review and distribution, backing up files to a digital asset management system, and metadata tagging of files for cataloging and archive.
•Post-production, including non-linear, professional editing with Adobe Premiere CC and Telestream ScreenFlow, motion graphics creation, color correction, audio mixing, and video compression.
•Exporting final cuts and uploading them to appropriate content channels including: Berklee Online, YouTube, etc.
•Adhering to Berklee Online brand and video workflow guidelines.
•Content output quality assurance and attention to detail in performing edits, graphic creation, and final video outputs.
Qualifications & Requirements Required Skills:
•Knowledge of the online video space including: YouTube, Vimeo, Twitter, etc.
•Knowledge of RED cameras and RED camera workflows.
•Ability to work with talent and follow creative direction.
•Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques as video production standards evolve.
•Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
•Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.
